What is alpha sigma phi?

The Beta Rho Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi was founded at the University of Toledo in 1937 as a Social Fraternity. Over the past 86 years, we have worked to develop our members into gentlemen and scholars with a sense of brotherhood, service, and philanthropy. At Alpha Sig, we strive to elevate all aspects of our members’ collegiate experience by providing opportunities to be involved both on campus and in the community. Since our founding, we have initiated over 1,600 members into our brotherhood; many of whom remain active with the fraternity to this day. The brothers of Alpha Sigma Phi lead with our values - Charity, Silence, Purity, Patriotism, and Honor - while working to better ourselves and our community.

“At Beta Rho, we hold our motto, To Better The World through better Men, close to our hearts. We strive to do the best we can for our community and each other. We hold each other to high standards both philanthropically and academically. This passion is evident in the work that we do. As a brother we want you to strive to be the best possible version of yourself.”

“When you join Alpha Sig you are joining something deeper than a brotherhood, you are joining a true family. If you are interested in joining our chapter feel free to navigate to the Join page to sign up for recruitment updates!”
